She’s got her head in the Clouds
Hello there, I'm Stephanie, but you can call me Lala. I am a digital artist from New Jersey and the dreamer and creative mind behind Universe of Lala!
My inspirations come from the joy of being a child and how wonderful it was to dream and get lost in one’s imagination.
My portfolio is a delightful blend of adorable animals and dreamlike creations, each piece crafted to evoke a sense of nostalgia and warmth. My ultimate goal? To bring a smile to your face and a touch of magic to your day.
My love for art started when I was just a child, but it truly ignited in the summer of 1997. Picture this: my father brought home a huge stack of blank computer paper, mostly for his own use, but little did he know it would become my own personal sketchbook. With endless amounts of computer paper at my disposal,(at least in my 7-year-old mind) I spent hours drawing until my heart was content. By the end of that summer, my father wasn't too thrilled about his printer paper being used as my canvas, but that's when my parents realized it was more than just a silly hobby it was evolving into something much deeper – a genuine passion for art.
I love creating because, let's be honest, reality often pales in comparison to the boundless realms of imagination. Creating allows me to conjure something from nothing. The Thoughts in my mind find a tangible form, whether it's on a blank canvas or within the pages of a sketchbook. It feels like witnessing magic unfold before my very eyes.
A fun fact about me? I actually started as a traditional artist, mainly using acrylics, colored pencils, etc. From the ages of 9 to 14, I attended the Lena Di Gangi Gallery & Studio where I learned the fundamentals of art.
When I am not busy drawing away on my iPad I enjoy watching movies, spending time with my loved ones, crafting, and visiting botanical gardens.
